South Africa’s youth unemployment crisis remains one of the country’s most urgent challenges, with millions of young people unable to access economically meaningful work. Determined to shift this reality, Cartrack, a homegrown South African success story and global leader in operational intelligence software, has announced a long-term partnership with the Maharishi Invincibility Institute. The collaboration creates a structured pathway from education to employment for young South Africans from marginalised communities.
The partnership builds on Cartrack’s renowned internal training initiative, the Cartrack Academy, which equips approximately 500 young people annually with accredited qualifications and hands-on workplace experience. Successful graduates transition into permanent roles within Cartrack, forming part of a strong and growing pipeline of future leaders. The business currently employs more than 6,000 people across South Africa.
By partnering with the Maharishi Invincibility Institute, Cartrack is introducing a stronger academic foundation to this proven pathway model. The result is what both organisations describe as a more holistic and integrated development journey, supporting learners from foundational education through to workplace readiness and, ultimately, employment with Cartrack.
Joshua Victor, CEO of Cartrack South Africa, says the objective is to expand access to opportunity in communities that have historically been excluded. “By working closely with the Maharishi Invincibility Institute over the long term, we are able to combine academic foundations with practical workplace experience,” he says. “This creates a more complete pathway for young people.”

Dr Taddy Blecher, founder and CEO of the Maharishi Invincibility Institute, highlights the role of private sector collaboration in addressing systemic challenges. “Partnerships like this are essential in creating sustainable pathways to employment,” he says.
What distinguishes this initiative from many corporate social investment programmes is its focus on employment outcomes, not just training. Learners are not only equipped with qualifications but are supported in transitioning into roles within Cartrack, creating a more direct link between education and a better life.
In a country where youth unemployment continues to exceed 40%, initiatives that connect learning directly to upward economic mobility offer a more practical and outcome-driven approach, while also inspiring youth in marginalised communities with pathways to opportunity.
