Cartrack Africa branches undergo security system upgrade
The staff and assets at Cartrack’s African branches will enjoy far better protection in the near future, with enhanced security measures currently being rolled out across these branches.
Some of the security features being put in place include the introduction of a closed-circuit television (CCTV) network, alarm systems and armed response. Previously, the African branches have been solely reliant on a 24-hour control and operation room for security.
These branches have also benefitted from encrypted off-site backups of Cartrack’s system data. This development will ensure that the company’s data management policies cater for efficient disaster recovery, which means that in the event of a power loss or an unforeseeable event, managers can rest assured that critical data has not been lost.
The changes will allow for considerably better security management. Besides the comfort of having trained professionals patrolling the premises, management at Cartrack’s African branches will also gain the benefit of access to reliable television footage, which will prove an asset in the handling of safety and security incidents, disputes or queries.
